The Kiowa Fire District is authorized by the Town of Kiowa and Elbert County to administer and enforce the 2006 edition of the International Fire Code within its jurisdiction. The Office of the Fire Chief is charged with administering and enforcing the fire safety, inspections, permitting, and investigations mandated by this code within the District. This code requires operational permits for certain types of activities.
